How Pinterest Support Can Grow your Website Traffic as a Business Owner
You’ve heard that Pinterest can be great for increasing your website traffic?
You use it for collecting recipes and saving colour palettes but don’t know how to use it for your own marketing?
You have heard a virtual assistant can support you with Pinterest but you have no idea where to start?
The truth is, Pinterest is an amazing visual search engine with billions of images and videos ready to be saved or clicked on. Customers visit Pinterest with intent, ready to buy products and services. Let’s talk about how you could benefit from Pinterest Support, to help grow your website traffic and increase eyes on your business.
Why Pinterest Is More Than ‘Just Another Social Media Platform’
In a world where social media is part and parcel of running your business, taking on yet another platform can feel…overwhelming and I get that! But Pinterest does not work in the same way as Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
Top 3 reasons why Pinterest is worth your time as a business owner :
It is an evergreen platform - pins can generate traction and clicks to your website months or years after they have been posted.
Potential clients are searching and pinning every day - If your pins use the right keywords there is potential to lead customers directly back to your website / blog.
Searches are often unbranded - small businesses can be found more easily and reach new buyers as long as the relevant SEO and keywords are used.
The Pinterest Tasks That Are Easy to Put Off as a Business Owner
Pinterest works best when you are regularly posting high quality content over a long period of time. I recommend consistently pinning for at least 3 months to give the platform enough time to register what you do and allow you to start getting clicks.
If you’re not sure how often you should be pinning, I recently wrote a blog post about your ideal Pinterest posting schedule, which you can read here.
But what is involved in keeping up a consistent Pinterest account?
For Pinterest support, I offer the following services to my clients :
Creating visually eye-catching and aesthetic pins that represent your brand or message
Researching keywords and use relevant keyword focused titles and descriptions
Optimising your pins - using alt text for accessibility and tags as well as pinning to organised boards
Optimising your pin boards for optimum client experiences
Scheduling pins in advance
Reviewing you pin analytics to see what is working and what is not
Refreshing older content
Keeping up with Pinterest trends and staying relevant for your brand

What Happened When We Put Pinterest Support Into Practice: A Case Study
When I started working with Interior designer, Hannah Ashe, she knew she wanted to develop her existing Pinterest account but didn’t have the time needed to spend on it. She is a regular blog writer and already knows the value of optimised blog posts on her website.
She already had a content bank full of photographs from her Interior design portfolio, which gave us a very strong starting point. She knew she wanted her blog posts repurposing and highlighting on Pinterest, so we started there.
How did I support her?
I started off repurposing the blog content that already existed on her website and created some visually aesthetic ‘on brand’ pins. After some keyword research, I made sure her titles and descriptions used the right search words so potential clients could find her more easily.
When I first start supporting clients with Pinterest, it can take at least 3 months of consistent posting to start seeing results because the Pinterest algorithm needs chance to understand who you are and what you do.
Because Hannah already had an established Pinterest account (and we were not starting from scratch) we started seeing exciting results within the first month, see below -

Is Pinterest Support Right for Your Business?
I get asked this a lot and it can be hard to answer. If you’re a busy business owner, Pinterest support could be worth exploring if :
You have a website which is an important part of your business
You have a business with products, services and content that potential clients can discover visually
You want more organic website traffic rather than relying on your socials
You don’t have the time to manage your Pinterest consistently
You’re looking for a long-term traffic strategy
You just want to focus on your creative work rather than learning another platform
There are many different factors to take into consideration but overall Pinterest can be really successful for your business if you are looking for a long term marketing strategy and you are able to provide valuable content to potential clients. Pinterest requires patience, research and consistency but as you can see above, if you’re consistent, the results can be worth the effort.
There are many different factors to consider, but overall, Pinterest can be a really effective marketing tool for your business if you’re looking for a long-term strategy and have valuable content to share with potential clients.
Pinterest does require patience, research and consistency, but as you can see from the results above, putting in the work consistently can make it well worth the effort.
